Needless to say, we had a blast! Destin is beyond beautiful. I am glad to be home with the kids. We missed them the most :) ENJOY our pixs!

Happy Third Anniversary Sparky!

Andrew and I got in some fun time with the Ramelow family yesterday! Bubby was on FIYA, Budda was happy as always, and Cara and Danyel were in good spirits despite being deliriously tired from purchasing a new minivan. It was nice to see them and catch up. I wish we could get together more often. The boys are growing up too fast. Makes Aunt MeMe sad :( and happy at the same time!

Don't we look cute?!

We had an ice cream social at work a few weeks ago and the theme had something to do with eras in time. Any who, I was on the 70's and 80's team and I dressed up as none other than Sally Jessy Raphael! Hope you get a kick out of this pix! I got the suit, shoes, glasses, purse, and jewelry all at the thrift store for $20! The suit fabric was BRUTAL. It did not breath at all and the shoes were hell too! But overall, I had fun being SJR for the afternoon.

To be honest, I can't remember how I stumbled across Creative Thursday. All I can remember is how I instantly fell in love with the adorable, yet simplistic characters. Here are the prints I bought for our home office.

""Summer Song"

""Pearl, Patridge, and Panda"

"Do you know what I mean?"

"Lewis and Oscar"

"Paper Tree"

"Lila and Lola"

"The Gang Celebrates"

"Sock Monkeys"

I hope to buy more in the future!

Andrew and I have been working on our office for at least 6 months now! We move at snails pace when it comes to home improvements! However, due recent job changes and the ever increasing need for us to work from home more, we really needed to get our asses in gear and finish our home office. In the past, I am the one who has always had the home office, but not this time! Andrew got a brand spanking new 19-inch laptop and decided that he wanted a piece of home office real estate. So, we came up with a home office design that would work for the both of us. We finally finished installing the chair rail, although we need to add some finishing touches to it and I need to buy one more curtain panel. We also went to IKEA and bought a desk, big enough for the both of us, two rolling cabinets, two office chairs, and two lamps. Then I went online and bought some really cute artwork to bring everything together. I think the artwork (with really cute frames that I bought at Hobby Lobby) helps bring the wall colors and the ceiling painted as a sky all together. I hope you guys think the same thing when you see it! Here are some pixs. Enjoy!

Matthew Sullivan was born at 7:31 on September 7th.

He weighed 8 precious pounds, 6 little ounces and measured 21 tiny inches long.

Mother (Karol) and baby are doing great! I can't wait to meet him. I am going up to the hospital today to see the family :)

for·tu·i·tous–happening or produced by chance; accidental: a fortuitous encounter. fluke–an accidental advantage; stroke of good luck.

So here's my story—Saturday night, Andrew and I had tickets to go see Mandy Moore at the Verizon Wireless Theatre downtown. Seeing as how Andrew and I are NOT the nightlife downtown concert going people, we had no clue parking at the Bayou Place was CASH ONLY. Guess what? We NEVER carry cash. NEVER. The show started at 8:00, it was 7:30 and we had NO cash to park. So we started driving around downtown looking for an ATM. I didn't see any banks, but I saw several hotels. I started thinking that hotels have to have ATMs. So we pulled into one hotel and it was super crowded so I made Andrew pull out. He started to get irritated with me and the situation. We started heading toward the Brown Convention Center and I saw the Hilton. I told Andrew that they HAVE to have an ATM because they have conferences so he pulled into the hotel drive and I jumped out. I ran in, spotted the ATM machine, and got in line, as there were two people in line. While waiting in line, I happened to notice that all the people in the lobby are Hispanic. I noticed an event going on at the Toyota Center next door, so maybe it is a cultural even? Then I noticed two tour buses to my right and once again, I think to myself how odd. My thoughts drift back to the task at hand and how I might miss MY show because Andrew and I are IDIOTS! The line in front of me finally moves a bit, and I hear some commotion to my left. All of the sudden I see three men moving through the lobby hugging people, signing things, talking to people. I notice that they look different. I can't explain it, but they reeked of self importance or something. Two of the men walk right past me and look me straight in the eyes. I almost felt like they could see right through me, it was one of the weirdest feelings I have ever felt. Then the third guy walked past me and I smiled at him. Hey, Texas charm J He was cute! The men continued to greet some people behind me, and I got my cash and RAN to the car. Andrew and I got to the concert with a few minutes to spare! After entering the Verizon Center, I picked up a flyer for upcoming concerts and I noticed that Mana (http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/mana/bio.jhtml) was playing at the Toyota Center this weekend. Yeah, that was who I saw. MANA, the freakin Latin rock superstars! Geez, I am so white it hurts! So....I guess I had a fortutious fluke encounter with a superstar, the only thing is, I had no idea it was happening to me! HA! That figures, the story of my life!

The last time Bubby came over to my house, he brought me this work of art!
I love looking at it on my fridge :)

Andrew planted all these potato vines in our yard a few months ago and now they are springing into action! These things grow really fast!
